IRRITATE
In early ´96 the band started under the name Look At Tomorrow and played more hardcore / punk style stuff.
One 7" and one split 7" was done, but in beginning of ´98 everyone was so bored with LAT that they decided to concentrate more seriously in their side project, grindcore band called Sensibilidad, as nihilistic sociopolitical blasting grindcore was the style that combined both musical and lyrical tastes of all members in the best possible way.
The name was soon changed into Irritate, ten songs were recorded in 4/98 as a demo and most of these songs were/will be released in compilation CD`s and vinyls.
As a second studio sessions band recorded new songs for more comp´s and split 3"CD with Katastrofialue in October´98.
In January ´99 Irritate played in "Midwinter Ceremony" in Imatra with Cause For Effect, Fleshpress, Horna and Unholy and the gig was recorded directly into DAT master, it sounded so good having versions progressed into totally new raging fast versions having even better sound than original studio stuff that the band decided to edit the best parts of the show to be released as a split LP with California´s Godstomper.
In 7th - 9th of March ´99 it was time to record again; this time 9 new Irritate tunes and a Negative Approach coverversion for Irritate / Parkinson / Existench - 3 way split full lenght CD, and tracks for two more compilations.
In June the band recorded more powerful grindcore for 3-way split CD with Agathocles and NYAB ... And for another comp. CD as well.
In July finnish extreme noise unit Grunt worked with some unreleased live versions of older Irritate songs to do extremely noisy "re-mixes", this collaboration was released as a part of 6-way CD on brazilian label No Fashion. The band also toured Finland in September ´99 with Slovakian band Sanatorium.
In late September ´99 there was a little change in line-up as the former bassist Jani left the band and Irritate already recorded some songs for 3 different compilations as 3-piece line up in early October.
And after that the line-up was completed with former Katastrofialue drummer / Sanktio bassist Texa. Pasi was kicked out of the band too and Sami decided to handle the vocals as well.
The band played couple of shows with Sweden´s Arsedestroyer.
In spring 2000 Irritate recorded their first full lenght album "Everyday Evil" that was supposed to come out on vinyl by Riotous Assembly (USA) and CD by Rotthenness Records (Bra), but as their offers and schedule wasn´t enough for the band, the album was released on Hostile Regression on CD only. In autumn 2000 the band recorded their best yet material for "Grind War Finland" 4-way CD and couple of split 7"EP´s.
Irritate will tour Europe in summer 2001.
The band is always willing to release more stuff (especially vinyl!), so labels don´t hesitate to get in touch!
