| PYOSALPINX: history and legacy |
Spring 1995: Two boys from Klaffenbach / Chemnitz were raging at a little summerhouse, maltreating an used jazz-drum kit and screaming their guts out of their bodies.... these sick noisecore-days....boredom and frustration were enormous....B.G.G., THE GEROGERIGEGEGE and DECHE-CHARGE were the heros.
On Labor Day we got in a furios blast and in a half hour we recorded some crazed stuff, that became the "Abdominal diseases" - demo. PYOSALPINX was born.
Konrad was the guy, that tried to treat the drums like an enemy.
Rene maimed the borrowed guitar and yelled until even flustered words were hurting like hell.
Some days later we recorded another session in the same violent mood. This songs completed our first tape (44 songs) and it was the start of our own label SCROTUM RECORDS.
Our main vokalist Björn we met on 6th january 1996.
We drove to a Noisecore / Metal - Show and there we had our first four minute-gig. Björn was drunk and screamed with us, so he joined the band.
The "Noisecore - Boom" of the early 90ties was over, but we realised, that we were not the only maniacs around. We met the unbelievable guys of PACKRATTEN (Bautzen-fame) and decided to do a split-tape.
Konrad was also playing in a rudimentary Punkband DIE ROTEN KHMER and their bassist Tarek was excited of our sound and he got part of the Klaffenbach Noise - breed.
The sound were geting more brutal, but there was the wish to improve something new...to break up the walls of noise with a grain of melody.
This caused some rumours between the "die hard" - noisers and the "emo - assholes" in the band, but we recorded several songs for split-tapes and compilations all the time, had some shows with friends and alot of fun.
1997 a dream came true, when we did a Split-7" with our inspirators THE GEROGERIGEGEGE from Japan.
Björn was overtaking SCROTUM RECORDS and was getting more into Harsh/Elektronik-sounds. Konrad and Rene were starting own tape-labels (BAROCK-Tapes & M-OUTPUTS), that were featuring Shitcore resp. Experimental-stuff.
The whole thing was drifting apart.
The break - up came with the session for the Split-7" with the HC - Trashers BIZARRE X.
When Rene was showing the first written lyrics for the band, Björn was leaving the rehearsal. We recorded the songs and it was the last breath of PYOSALPINX.
Björn now still runs SCROTUM RECORDS and does some noise.
Konrad and Tarek playing together in a 77 - influenced punkband named MOTRAS and Rene still runs M-OUTPUTS.
